About this blog

A priest's reflections on faith, seasons, and the sacred rhythm of the Church

Welcome. I am a Christian priest, currently serving as Team Rector in Tamworth — a role that keeps me deeply rooted in the life of a local Christian community, with all its joys, questions, and seasons of faith.

Ministry has always been, for me, an invitation to pay attention — to the people around me, to the movement of God in everyday life, and to the ancient rhythms of the Church year that shape and form us as disciples.

The Christian Year exists as a space for reflection, writing, and conversation about the life of the Church — with a particular focus on the liturgical calendar that marks out the great seasons of Christian faith.

Advent Christmas Lent Easter Pentecost Ordinary Time

Each season carries its own colour, mood, and spiritual invitation. Here you will find articles, images, and reflections that trace that journey through the year — from the quiet expectancy of Advent to the fire of Pentecost, and the long green stretches of Ordinary Time in between.

Alongside the Church year, I write about discipleship — what it means to follow Jesus faithfully in the twenty-first century, in the ordinary and extraordinary moments of daily life.

Writing has been a companion to my ministry for many years. I have produced a number of books and resources for individuals and congregations exploring Christian faith and practice.
